Terms

The agreement that makes the site work. It is short because the deal is simple: you post a food combo, a moderator reads it, and if it goes live everyone sees it.

The deal

Mixkauer is a free site where people post food combinations — two or three things eaten in one bite — and vote on them. Submitting a combo means you accept these terms; just reading and voting commits you to nothing.

Who runs the site is on the imprint page. The short version: hi@mixkauer.com reaches a person who reads it.

Your combo stays yours — but we need a licence

The words you post are yours, and posting them here does not change that. But storing, showing and translating them is copying, legally speaking, so running the site needs your permission — a licence.

By submitting, you give Mixkauer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store your combo and note, show them publicly, reproduce them in the feed and on ingredient pages, translate them into the site's other language, and edit them for moderation — fixing a typo, trimming formatting, removing something that should not be public. Non-exclusive means exactly that: you can post the same combo anywhere else, any time.

The licence lasts as long as the combo is on the site. Ask us to take it down — the privacy page says how — and when it goes, the licence goes with it.

What you promise about what you post

It is yours to give

You wrote the combo and the note yourself, or they are genuinely free for anyone to use. Do not post someone else's text as your own.

It is about food

The site is for combinations someone can actually eat. Advertising, links dropped for their own sake, and things that only pretend to be combos get rejected.

It leaves other people out

No names, addresses or stories about identifiable other people, and nothing insulting, threatening or unlawful. The name you post under is public — the privacy page covers what happens to it.

Moderation

Nothing appears in public until a moderator has read it. We can reject a submission, or take a published combo down later, and we do not owe anyone a slot or a written reason — the queue is read by a person, and the site is small.

A rejected combination can be submitted again — it goes back through moderation with the earlier rejection on record, and we can reject it again. What a rejection means for the stored data is on the privacy page.

What the site is, and is not

Mixkauer is free and offered as it is. We work on it, but we do not promise it is always up, always right, or here forever — it can change or close.

Combos are other people's taste, not advice. Nothing here is nutrition, health or safety guidance — allergies, intolerances and common sense stay your job. If a combination sounds wrong to you, do not eat it.

When these terms change

The version at the top moves when the meaning changes, not when wording is tidied. If a change matters — the licence, the rules — we say so on the site before it applies to anything you already posted. Submitting after that means the new version.

If one part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest keeps working.
